Spotlight Delaware - Property Reassessment Map

The first comprehensive property reassessment in decades reset how Delaware’s tax burden is divided among property owners. While many expected that it would bring new relief to some of the state’s lowest income residents, it has actually raised their tax burdens.

Tech Impact's Data Lab worked with Spotlight Delaware to compile important data sourced from the Freedom of Information Act to help residents and communities understand the results of a state-wide property reassessment project.

Data visualization techniques, like the interactive map built for this community, help tell richer stories by making information easier to understand, compare, and communicate to stakeholders.
