Benefits of Cohort Model

In this one-to-many approach, Cohort Sponsors works directly with Tech Impact to develop a program that:

  • Moves the burden of assessing technology funding requests from individual asks to a standardized process
  • Standardizes assessments and recommendations across all cohort participants
  • Allows Cohort Sponsor to anticipate technology needs and requests through data aggregated from the program across all supported organizations
  • Ensures that each participating organization starts with a baseline assessment
  • Supports participants in gaining more knowledge and insight through peer learning

Program Overview

Collaboratively with Cohort Sponsors based on current needs, Tech Impact will build a half or full day workshop providing hands-on and highly interactive learning to provide inspiration and practical knowledge and skills in selected focus areas.

Typically run with two facilitators, workshops will cover key elements of successful technology planning, how to align digital transformation opportunities to the mission and goals of each organization, and a deep dive into previously agreed upon topic areas .

Follow up Services

Tech Impact will schedule the selected assessment (TechCheck, SecCheck, AICheck, DigiCheck) consultations with cohort participants. The consultation is an expert-guided technology assessment that evaluates the nonprofit's technology needs and delivers a report with actionable recommendations to help the organization forward. Unlike other online assessments, a technology advisor reviews the report and creates customized recommendations that include projects and associated budget.

If applicable, Cohort Sponsors can approve any follow-up projects, hardware, software and implementation service costs as appropriate for each participating organization. Tech Impact will define project scope, determine budget, assist with license procurement, provide hardware/software quote, and deliver all approved project deliverables.
