Tech Impact Partners With OpenAI Academy for a Six-City Tour
Philadelphia, PA – September 16, 2026 – Tech Impact, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that leverages technology to advance social impact, today announced a partnership with OpenAI Academy to deliver a nationwide series of AI workshops for nonprofits. Visiting six U.S. cities, the Build Better and Dive Deeper with AI series will help nonprofit professionals develop practical AI skills that can advance their missions and deepen their impact in the communities they serve.
Through hands-on activities and peer collaboration, nonprofit teams will spend a day developing practical AI solutions with guidance from facilitators from Tech Impact and OpenAI Academy. “Tech Impact is excited to work alongside OpenAI to make this kind of AI education accessible to nonprofits. The workshops provide expert guidance and resources for learning and practice, along with an opportunity for nonprofits to connect with peers who are also exploring how these tools can strengthen their missions,” said Linda Widdop, Chief Innovation Officer at Tech Impact.
Eligible nonprofits can participate at no cost. Attendees will leave with working prototypes, practical toolkits, and a stronger understanding of generative AI tools and their potential applications across the nonprofit sector. The workshops are open to nonprofit staff in any role, and no technical background or prior AI experience is required.
The tour begins September 30 in Kansas City and continues through December, with stops scheduled for the following cities:
