Samantha Levinson
Samantha is passionate about using data to make the world a better place. She analyzes information, systems, and processes to improve institutions that impact vulnerable people, leading to more efficient, effective, and equitable policies and programs. Like Albert Camus, Samantha believes that true generosity to the future lies in giving all to the present.
Samantha has nearly a decade of experience using data to support non-profit causes, from working with small, community-based nonprofits to supporting multi-national organizations, such as the United Nations. As the Director of Program Innovation and Client Experience at The Bail Project, Samantha leads organizational efforts to identify and codify programmatic and data-related best practices, develop performance monitoring and quality assurance strategies, and incorporate direct client feedback into existing improvement efforts. Samantha leverages her technical background in analytics and research to develop data-driven, tech-supported operational processes that optimize staff workflows and improve client outcomes. Prior to joining The Bail Project, Samantha was Acting Chief Executive Officer of Allegheny HealthChoices, Inc., a Medicaid oversight organization committed to ensuring high quality, culturally competent care for individuals seeking mental health and substance use services in counties across Pennsylvania.
Samantha received a B.A. in French language and a B.S. in economics from the University of Pittsburgh, where she was a Chancellor’s Scholar. She also received her M.S. in public policy and management, with a concentration in data analytics from Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University.
