Call For Speakers

Tech Forward brings together experts from around the world to be a part of the discussion surrounding nonprofit technology. Do you have expertise or experience that will benefit our attendees and want to share on our stage? If so, we invite you to submit a speaker proposal, below.

Three Speaking Opportunities

Tech Forward’s goal is to provide practical, real-world information and experiences to attendees from speakers from varying backgrounds. There are three speaker opportunities at the conference:

5 Minute Lightning Tech Talk

Are you a nonprofit leader that has had success implementing a new technology? Share your story in a 5-minute, prepared talk on the Main Stage showcasing an innovative or successful use of tech or thought-provoking insight in a fun, light, and fast way.

20 Minute Main Stage Keynote

Are you a visionary around technology use for social impact? Share your thoughtful, deep-level expertise in an engaging way on our Main Stage to discuss a wide-range topic on innovative tech.

45 Minute Breakout Session

Do you have practical expertise around a specific topic, idea, or strategy around nonprofit technology? Lead a smaller group session that focuses on a singular topic, discussion, or workshop activity.

What Are We Looking For?

We are looking to share examples of real-world, innovative technology uses in the nonprofit sector from organization leaders themselves, including lessons learned, advice for other leaders, surprising benefits and challenges, and experiences as a whole. If you’ve had success implementing a new, creative or innovative tech solution that helped you create a bigger impact in your community or gain efficiencies with your teams, we want our audience to learn from you. Some areas of interest include:

  • Data analysis, data science, and data implementation stories/expertise
  • Automation implementation, ideas, and success stories
  • Chatbots and AI, machine learning
  • Innovative digital fundraising tactics
  • Infrastructure updates, building tech teams, and user buy-in
  • Remote and virtual program delivery
  • Data sharing and collaborations with other organizations, funders, government agencies or external groups
  • Tech funding success stories

We are also looking to incorporate thought-leadership, expert advice, and practical strategies from knowledgeable sources in the sector on topics including nonprofit security, data management and use, internal capacity building, fundraising marketing and communications, and productivity.

Frequently Asked Questions

All speakers receive complimentary registration for the entire conference including food, drinks, and party admission. Tech Impact also covers one night at the official conference hotel to support travel expenses.

Speakers are expected to work with the Tech Impact/Tech Forward planning team during check-ins and event prep leading up to the conference to review materials, slide decks, and hand-outs.  No sales pitches or demos during sessions. 

Tech Forward's audience is comprised of nonprofit leaders throughout the country looking to engage in discussions around accessible, innovative, and available technologies in the sector. 75% are either the primary technology decisionmakers in their organization or heavily involved in decision-making.

Tech Forward is looking for topics, sessions, and focuses around technology uses and strategies to support their missions and help them better serve their communities.
